FIREARMS
First check with your airline on their requirements for transporting firearms. Then when bringing firearms into New Zealand, you can apply for a firearms permit upon arrival in NZ. Simply declare your firearm at customs and they will deliver you to the NZ Police Office in the Airport terminal where you will fill out the details for the permit and pay a $NZ 25 fee. It is best to leave any handguns or military-style semiautomatics at home as they are very restricted by New Zealand laws.

TAXIDERMY
Upclose Safaris will provide the field preparation of your trophies and meat and can help arrange butchery, taxidermy and expedition of the game through other professionals. This is not included in the trophy fee.
